                      —Report of the 5th Greatwall Translational Andro-Urology Forum (GTAUF2012)

The 5th Great Wall Translational Andro-Urology Forum (GTAUF2012) in conjunction with the launch of the new journal Translational Andrology and Urology (TAU) was successfully held in Hainan International Conference and Exhibition Center, Haikou, China on March 8-12, 2012 (Figure 1). The forum was co-chaired by Prof. Ying-Lu Guo (Figure 2) and Prof. Tom F. Lue (Figure 3), both lifetime presidents of GTAUF and Editor-in-Chief of TAU and professor Zhi-Ming Bai (Figure 4), the president of local organizing committee of GTAUF2012.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

The tremendous success of the previous four Greatwall International Andrology Forum (GITF) has greatly facilitated the development of andrology in China, promoted the exchanges and friendship among andrologists both in China and abroad, and bring global perspectives to more Chinese andrologists. Upon the proposal of Dr. Guo Ying-lu, the forum for the year of 2012 has been renamed as the “5th Great Wall International Translational Andro-Urology Forum” (GITAUF2012), with an attempt to further raise its academic values and international reputation, expand its academic scope, and help more andrologists to benefit from this important event. The forum will take place at the International Exhibition Center in Haikou, Hainan Province, China, from March 8 - 12, 2012. The organizing committee of GITAUF2012 now is privileged to invite you to come to Haikou and take part in this mega event.
