We are pleased to announce that the Translational Andrology and Urology (TAU) has attained its latest impact factor update for the 2019 citation year: 2.445.
Translational Andrology and Urology (Print ISSN 2223-4683; Online ISSN 2223-4691; Transl Androl Urol; TAU) is an open access, peer-reviewed, bi-monthly journal (quarterly published from Mar. 2012 - Dec. 2014). TAU delivers up-to-date findings and provides current and practical information on basic and clinical research of andrology and urology. It publishes articles that cover various aspects in diseases of male and female urinary tract including kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra and the male reproductive organs like penis, testes, scrotum, prostate etc. Contributions pertinent to urology and andrology are also included from related fields such as public health, basic sciences, education, sociology, and nursing.
Aiming for the continued development of article quality alongside the growth of the numbers of submissions, we have recently emphasized improving the publication quality and processing transparency. Some significant arrangements were made in TAU in the past few months:
1. Integration with Publons. As of April 2020, our publisher AME Publishing Company has entered into an official partnership with Publons. Thus, TAU’s peer review system is now integrated seamlessly into the Publons platform (https://publons.com/publisher/6041/ame-publishing-company). 2. Reporting guidelines for original research. For a higher standard of publishing and research quality, we have introduced a series of reporting guidelines for different research types. Each original research submission to TAU is now required to follow the EQUATOR research reporting guidelines and should include a checklist. If the article is accepted, the related reporting checklist will be published online with the article. 3. Transparent peer review process. We have committed to openness and accountability and increased the level of transparency throughout our peer review process. Our Editorial Office has decided to implement a transparent peer review process as an option for all manuscripts submitted to TAU from April 22, 2020.
