They hold exciting promise as a tool to study circulating tumour cells, nucleic acids and extracellular vesicles, which may aid cancer screening/early detection, monitoring response to therapies and detecting minimal residual disease. Urine is a particularly attractive non-invasive liquid biopsy for urological malignancies, due to its ease of (serial) collection and direct proximity to primary tumour cells of the prostate, bladder and kidney.},
