Yongde Xu, PhD

Dr. Xu received his PhD degree from Peking University Health Science Center in 2015 and subsequently carried out his postdoctoral research in the institute of Basic Medical Science of Chinese PLA General Hospital. He has been engaged in clinical work and basic reseach in the field of urolgoy and andrology.

Dr. Xu has participated in more than three scientific projects supported by the Natural Science Foundation of Beijing or National Natural Science Foundation of China. He was awarded ISSM Emil Tanagho Prize at the World Meeting on Sexual Medicine in 2014. Dr. Xu has published more than 10 scientific articles as first author, including papers in “Journal of Sexual Medicine” and “Stem Cells and Development” etc. He is also a youth committee of Asian Association of Andrology. 

Dr. Xu's current basic researches involve mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of eretile dysfunction and urethral regeneration by tissue engineering approach. He is also exploring the feasiblity and safety of using 3D bio-printing technique for wound repair.
