AB235. The correlation studies of mood disorders and testosterone deficiency in young men

Objective: To explore the correlations between mood disorders and testosterone deficiency of young men.

Methods: The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) were used to assess the mental state in 86 cases of youth men, the total serum testosterone levels were determined at the same time, the correlations between mood disorders and testosterone deficiency were analyzed.

Results: For cases of the anxiety and depression disorders, they have the low testosterone levels than the cases of no mood disorders, according to forms of the cases, the chi-square test indicate that the differences were significant.

Conclusions: The mood disorders associated with testosterone deficiency of young men, the cases of the mood disorders merge more testosterone deficiency, the reasons and mechanisms remains to be discussed.
