Abstract: There have been considerable scientific advances made in the last decade on our understandings in the molecular mechanisms and genetic basis of renal cell cancer. Development of various drugs such as tyrosine kinase inhibitors have revolutionized the treatment and cancer survivors. Advances in surgical techniques such as single-port, natural-orifice laparoscopy, and robotic surgery increase the surgical options and renal preservation surgery in patients with complex renal cell cancer.
