CJK 12. How to publish your article in Asian Journal of Andrology successfully
Asian Journal of Andrology is an international peer-reviewed journal. It is the official journal of the Asian Society of Andrology, and is sponsored by the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. With a focus on new basic and clinical (including modern, traditional and epidemiological) research on andrology, primary research papers are complemented by Reviews, Research Highlights, Commentaries, Opinions and Perspectives. Its 2010 2010 Impact Factor is 1.549, ranking third in five international andrological journals.
The reject rate of AJA is as high as 75%. The reasons for rejections are multiple, and the major ones are grouped into two kinds of causes: Interior causes (ethical or scientific) (70%-80%) and Exterior causes (20%-30%).
Interior causes include: Duplicate publication (publish in different language, above 70% major results are same; Duplicate submission; Plagiarism (scientific contents or writings); Does not or tolerably fit the scope of the journal; Lack of novelty and broad significance (only say yes, etc); Too simple or superficial to be published as an article; Weak logical reasoning or discussion; Little strong evidence for the conclusions that are drawn; Poor or defective experiments or methods (no control or insufficient sample); Wrong or no data statistics analysis; The absence of important materials, experiments or data.
Exterior causes include: Poor language; does not meet the format requirements of AJA; Poor presentation; Incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated references; Dose not satisfy or convince the referees.
To manage to avoid or eliminate all characteristics of rejected articles before submission, will increase the possibility that your article will be accepted.
