PE 05. Effect of sertralin combined with doxazosin on the treatment of premature ejaculation: A 240 cases report
Purpose: To evaluate the effect of sertralin combined with doxazosin on the treatment of premature ejaculation.
Materials and Methods: From 7/2009 to 1/2011, 240 patients with premature ejaculation were randomized to divided three equal groups: A group was treated with sertralin, B group was treated with doxazosin, C group was treated compound sertralin combined with doxazosin. All patients had been administrated for 1month. Intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT), CIPE -5 score, SAS and SDS, adverse effects were observed before and after the treatment.
Results: IELT of A, B and C group before treatment was 36.8±11.09 S, 39.1±10.83 S and 38.4±10.45 S respectively, IELT of A, B and C group after treatment was 256.9±55.74 S, 40.7±20.73 S and 322.8±47.81 S respectively, after treatment IELT was found statistical difference between every two groups while pre and post-treatment had no statistical difference in B group.
Conclusions: Sertralin has the good curative effect on premature ejaculation, but combined administration should be better.
