Objective: To study the expressions of recombination activating gene 1 (RAG1), recombination activating gene 2 (RAG2) and activation-induced cytidine deaminase (AICDA) in bladder transitional cell cancer cell lines, and to study the correlation of expression levels of RAG1, RAG2 and AICDA with ectopic expression of IgG in bladder transitional cell carcinoma.

Methods: Western blot , immunoc y tochemi str y and immunofluorescence were used to evaluate the expression of RAG1, RAG2 and AICDA in bladder transitional cell carcinoma cell lines T24 and EJ.

Results: Expressions of RAG1, RAG2 and AICDA in bladder transitional cell carcinoma cell lines were significantly higher than those in the negative controls (human immortalized bladder epithelial cell lines), with statistical significance noted (P<0.05); IgG expression was positively correlated with the expressions of RAG1, RAG2 and AICDA in bladder transitional cell carcinoma cell lines.

Conclusions: Expressions of RAG1, RAG2 and AICDA in bladder transitional cell carcinoma cell lines are high; the ectopic expression of IgG was closely correlated with expressions of RAG1, RAG2 and AICDA in bladder transitional cell carcinoma cell lines, RAG1 and RAG2 are regulatory genes of the ectopic expression of IgG.
