O 15. Clinical treatment of epidermoid cysts of testis: Report of 3 cases
Objective: To summarize our experiences in the diagnosis and treatment of epidermoid cysts of testis.
Methods: The clinical and pathological features of three cases of intratesticular epidermoid cysts were reported.
Results: In all three cases, an inguinal approach was applied for testicular exploration. Medical history, physical examination and pathological examination provided useful information for its diagnosis. One patient underwent orchidectomy while the other 2 patients received testis-sparing surgery. All the three patients did not suffer from local recurrence or metastases during the follow-up (range, 6 months -3 years).
Conclusions: The epidermoid cysts of testis is a rare benign tumor. Testis-sparing surgery is recommended for its treatment.
