Abstract: Since the introduction of the da Vinci Surgical System first time in Korea at Yonsei University in 2005, more than 13,000 robot surgical cases were performed which is the most experience in the world. Current review of use of robotics in urology, focused on prostate cancer and kidney cancer. Yonsei’s experience of more than 4,800 cases of robotic urologic cases including 700 robotic kidney cases is also presented as an example of robotic surgery in Asia. The most common procedure, robotic prostatectomy was analysed in detail including oncological and functional profiles. In 2015 there are new ways of performing prostatectomies and partial nephrectomies are available and will be discussed also. New frontiers of robotic surgery will be dealt to show the future of robotic surgery.
