Together with established leaders and rising stars within male genitourinary reconstruction and trauma, our guest editors Prof. Benjamin N. Breyer and Prof. Jack W. McAninch give a review of the current epidemiology of both renal trauma and urethral stricture disease in this special issue. The landscape of the reconstructive urology workforce is examined. Multiple papers address urinary complications that arise after therapy for cancer with some addressing how to treat them. Important topics in urethral stricture disease are highlighted including treating complex urethral strictures located throughout the penis and how to monitor patients after urethroplasty. Finally, an original article examines sexual satisfaction and outcomes after neophallus creation.
