Our goal was to put together an UpToDate guide for all urologists and researchers pursuing the improvement of their knowledge on non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. As guest editors of the present issue of TAU, we tried to provide insight on all aspects concerning non-muscle invasive bladder cancer starting from its epidemiology, passing through the description of new technical aspects of transurethral resection, leading to postoperative management including the identification of candidates for radical surgery or intravesical instillation therapy.
